Reviver of Sūrya Vamśa Sarvajnapeetha Surangi Samrajyam
Official coronation of THE SPH as 203rd Emperor of the Kingdom of Surangi
It is the time-honored and age-old tradition of the Sūrya Vaṃśa that kingdoms are ruled by enlightened masters or Raja Gurus whenever they so choose to uplift the kingdom by taking on the responsibility of the administration. Historically, this has happened when Hariśchandra gave his kingdom to his Guru Viṣvamitra and Chatrapati Śivaji offered his entire kingdom to his Guru, Samarth Ramdas Swami. Finally it was the same when Devi Mīnākṣi, Goddess Parāśakti Herself, offered the entire 56 Nations which constituted all of Planet Earth during her reign, to Paramaśiva as Sundareśvara.
In consultation with Raja Hruduya Chandra Deo before his passing, the last king of the Surangi lineage, the Queen (Raja Matha) of Surāngi, Rani Sana Jema Manjula Manjari Devi (Mrs. Manjula Pooja Shroff), decided that she would also follow in the path of her ancestors and offer her kingdom to her Guru out of gratitude. When the last king passed away childless in September of 2004, leaving her as the sole heiress of the entire kingdom, she executed her duty as per his will and declared,
“It is now my privilege and honor through this document by the power vested in me as per the ancient customs and traditions of the Kingdom of Surāngi, to formally declare the nomination of THE SPH as the Supreme Ruler and inheritor of this ancient throne and with it the Sūrya Vaṃśa Sarvajñapeeṭha Surāngi Sāmrājyam and all rights vested with it. All decisions regarding the Kingdom of Surāngi will henceforth happen as per His will and command,” – Rajamatha of Surangi.

The Revival of the Surangi Kingdom
In 2004, the responsibility of the kingdom now fell on Sana Rani Jema Manjula Manjari Devi, the queen of Surāngi. She prayed to Paramaśiva, for the right successor who will revive this kingdom to its original glory.
At that time, she had a brilliant vision in her dream (darshan) of The SPH Bhagavān Śri Nithyānanda Paramashivam. Experiencing in her core that the divine being of whom she had a dream was the answer to her prayers, she decided to surrender her kingdom at His feet. The SPH blessed her by assuming the responsibility of the kingdom to carry on the illustrious lineage of Ikśvāku.
The SPH Bhagavān Śri Nithyānanda Paramashivam, then known as A. Rajashekar born in Tiruvannamalai, hails from the Thondaimandala Ādi Saiva Vellalar community also known as the Thondamanadala Shaiva Vellalar community.
The SPH Śri Nithyānanda Paramashivam belongs to the Royal Ādi Saiva lineage, descending from the Great Chola Kings of the Sūrya Vaṃśa. As the direct Incarnation of Paramaśiva the ultimate Divinity and originator of the lineage of the Sūrya Vaṃśa, who was the first to give the science to Sūrya, The SPH is now again reviving the science of enlightenment and bringing it to the people, heralding the greatest principles of the Surāngi Kingdom.

Ichapuram Sarvajnapeeṭha
The Ichapuram Sarvajñapeeṭha is a royal estate and ancient heritage of the Surāngi Sāmrājyam. From here, The SPH is reviving the indigenous worship of the Goddess Kruṇashini that is specific to people of Ichapuram and kingdom of Surāngi. The worship of the community deities is an integral part of the indigenous tradition of Hinduism that The SPH emphasizes in order to support the well being of the people of the kingdom at large.
Reviving Ancient Heritage
Being an inheritance that represents the oldest surviving lineage on Planet Earth, the Ichapuram Sarvajñapeeṭha is of cultural and historic significance. Thus, it is important to restore, rebuild, and maintain this property to ensure its survival. Residents of the Ichapuram Sarvajnapeeṭha are leading skilled clean-up initiatives in order to oversee and preserve this heritage.
Devi Kruṇashini, the presiding deity of Ichapuram Sarvajñapeeṭha in the temple-monastery complex.
“Mother Kruṇashini is the pure bio memory (the core aspect of human beings’ thoughts and behaviors) of the Surāngi Sāmrājyam. The Sūrya Vaṁśa Surāngi Sāmrājyam pure bio memory is Mother Kruṇashini. Our Kula Devata [family deity] is the pure bio memory of us, our vamśa. That is why I insist on Kula Devata worship.”
-The SPH on the importance of worship of the Kuladevata (community deity)
An Eternal Lineage
Though being target of continuous persecution, The SPH is the sole hope for this lineage. With His sincere and dedicated revival efforts, The SPH is assuring the continuation of the unbroken lineage of gurus, kings, and the principles of Sanātana Hindu Dharma. Through The SPH, the Surāngi Sāmrājyam lives on today with its people assured protection from the destruction of their culture, heritage, and history.
